Hi everyone,

In this issue I like to share with you some pointers to losing weight safely. Losing weight is good, but do not do it at the expense of your good health.

It is commonly believed that to lose weight means to reduce the amount of food you eat. Yes, this is one way to lose weight, but not necessarily the best way to achieve the weight loss. In fact, it can be detrimental to your health if you reduce the amount of your food excessively. So, how to lose weight safely?

There are a few points that you should consider:

1. avoid crash diets,
2. eat properly,
3. pump up that lean muscle mass,
4. consider engaging in aerobics.

Thinking of Crash Diets?

Don't even think of that. Cutting down on calories intake alone cannot shed off your unwanted excess fat. In fact, it is dangerous to your health if you cut down too much calorie intake. Why? Because when you decrease your calorie intake way to below the required levels, your body begins to digest the fats. Sounds good but it doesn't actually. Burning fat requires a lot of energy. Since there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat, it will run at a very slow pace resulting to fatigue, illness and weak immune system.

You should Eat Properly

Junking crash diet option does not mean eat anything to your likings. Consider eating varieties so that you may be able to get the necessary nutrients from your diet. Try to roast, steam or broil rather than fry. Our body has been designed to need for fiber and enough water. So keep yourself hydrated. Make a habit of taking at least 1.5 liters of water a day.

Pump Up that Lean Muscle Mass

Do you know that muscles burn calories when they work? In fact, they even do so at rest. What about fats? Fats just lie around, bulge around the pants and dangle beneath the sleeves. So, start losing unwanted fats by increasing your muscle mass. You can increase your muscle mass through resistance training.

Engage in Aerobics

Why engage in aerobics? Because aerobics

1. increase cardio-vascular endurance, and therefore good for your heart,
2. increase your lean muscle mass,
3. decrease your excess body fat,
4. make your metabolic process more efficient and its rate high, even after a long while.

I will be publishing a complete write up on this topic on my website soon. Please come back to get the update.
